Offit Kurman Announces Continued Growth in the Southeastern United States

The firm will join forces with Greensboro, North Carolina’s Hagan Barrett

BETHESDA, MD. – August 1, 2022 – Offit Kurman announced today that it will welcome the attorneys from Greensboro, North Carolina’s Hagan Barrett PLLC, to the firm. Hagan Barrett is a boutique law firm recognized for providing specialized legal services to businesses and individuals in North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad and throughout the state. Hagan Barrett’s practices are concentrated in the areas of corporate and business transactions, complex business litigation, employment, tax, trusts and estates, litigation, and commercial real estate. When the combination becomes effective on August 1, 2022, Offit Kurman will assume the Hagan office space in downtown Greensboro, marking its eighteenth office, and the six partners from Hagan Barrett will join as principals.

“The addition of the Hagan Barrett attorneys, with their deep experience and outstanding reputation in North Carolina, aligns with our firm’s strategic goal to provide exceptional legal services throughout the Southeast and beyond,” said Ted Offit, Chairman of Offit Kurman.

One of the fastest-growing law firms in the country, Offit Kurman has established and increased its presence in the Southeast over the past several years as part of its strategic expansion plan. In 2019, the firm affiliated with one of Charlotte, North Carolina’s oldest and most respected law firms, Horack Talley, and added 27 lawyers. Since that time, the firm also opened offices in Rock Hill and Spartanburg, South Carolina. Offit Kurman plans to continue to grow its presence in the Southeast as well as in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
