The Merriweather grounds were the site of the 25th annual Wine in the Woods event last weekend. Cloudy and cool were the perfect setting for families to get there early and claim their prime spot on the grounds, surrounded by wine, music, and vendors. The new Chrysalis was one of the venues for music, and the sound was terrific. To keep everyone safe, there were designated drivers, a photo booth, wine education seminars, and specialty foods.
Parking was a bit of a challenge, but there were plenty of lots and some shuttle options to get there and back.
In the category of “you never know who you will run into,” an informal reunion of sorts took place as a number of us who worked together at Hecht’s when we were in college happened to run into each other. You may know Chuck Bubeck of Ease Technologies, Scott Kramer, who photographs for the County Executive, and Terry, who visited from out of state to join the event.
I look forward to next year!
