Tyler Asher has a multifaceted commercial and construction litigation practice in which he handles disputes concerning contract, real estate, construction defect, government contracting, business torts, and insurance coverage issues. Tyler’s capabilities include handling claims involving complex commercial matters, general contractors and subcontractors’ issues, and properties involving new construction or renovated properties impacted by design, construction, material, and subsurface deficiencies. Licensed to practice in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., Tyler understands the distinct legal landscapes of each jurisdiction, making him uniquely equipped to advise and advocate for his clients’ specific needs.

In his government contracting practice, Tyler represents prime contractors and subcontractors in contract negotiation, formation, and in disputes with the government and other commercial entities. Tyler also represents clients in matters involving requests for equitable adjustments, bid protests, and contract claims before the Government Accountability Office, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals, and other Federal and State courts.

Before becoming a lawyer, Tyler worked as a contract manager for a construction company for several years. This experience gave him a unique understanding of the challenges and nuances of contracting with government authorities and entities. While in law school, Tyler served as a law clerk to Chairman Chuck Grassley on the Senate Finance Committee: Oversight and Investigations Unit.
