Ian Bartman Named as the Chair of The Community Foundation of Frederick County

Offit Kurman is pleased to congratulate Litigation Principal Ian Bartman for his recent appointment to Chair of The Community Foundation of Frederick County. His new position began on October 1, 2022.

Mr. Bartman is the organization’s current First Vice Chair. He has been involved with The Community Foundation of Frederick County for 3 years, serving as Grants Committee Chair and on the Governance and Scholarship Committees. As the organization’s new Chair, Mr. Bartman will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of an updated strategic plan that includes initiatives to address mental health, affordable housing and disparities in service delivery to families with children, seniors who are striving to age in place, and persons with substance use disorder.

The Community Foundation is dedicated to connecting people who care with causes that matter to enrich the quality of life in Frederick County now and for future generations. In fiscal year 2022, the Community Foundation awarded more than $6.3 million in grants to nonprofits addressing a wide array of community causes and $1.8 million in scholarships to students pursuing an education past high school.
