For nearly two decades, Ian Bartman has helped individuals, businesses, and property owners navigate complex, unique, and innovative legal disputes. Ian blends strategic thinking with a practical, client‑first approach. He works with clients to define their primary goals, investigates and analyzes facts in detail, and ensures alignment before determining a path forward.
A large portion of Ian’s practice focuses on resolving complex litigation involving commercial conflicts, real estate issues, construction disputes, land use and zoning concerns, insurance-related matters, mechanics’ liens, estate disputes, and landlord–tenant issues. He represents plaintiffs and defendants with equal regularity and works to help clients make well‑informed decisions at every stage of a matter.
A direct communicator, he provides honest assessments of case strengths and weaknesses. Although he is adept at handling the challenges of litigation, he prioritizes efficient, cost‑effective resolutions and strives to keep clients out of court when possible.
Ian’s practice also includes a variety of transactional matters. He regularly drafts and reviews AIA contracts, business agreements, leases, wills, trust instruments, and settlement agreements, providing clients with continuity and support across both disputes and routine business needs.
Ian is regarded by clients and colleagues as strategic, committed, and trustworthy, attributes that reflect his core motivation for practicing law: helping people through challenging and often pivotal moments in their lives. Outside the office, he stays active as a USA Lacrosse official and enjoys traveling with his family.
