Tom Kramer is a registered patent attorney and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. He focuses his practice on intellectual property matters, patent and trademark litigation, copyright, licensing, prosecution, inter partes review and patent post-grants.
Tom has extensive experience and is very active in civil litigation in Delaware, representing clients as well as serving in the role of Delaware counsel in a variety of civil matters in Delaware’s Superior, Chancery and U.S. District Courts. His Delaware practice also extends to representing labor and employment law clients in administrative proceedings before the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission (OSHRC/U.S. Dept. of Labor) and Delaware’s Public Employee and Merit Employee Review Boards.
Before joining private practice, Tom served as a judicial extern to The Honorable Leonard P. Stark, where he assisted with the drafting of opinions and memorandum orders for civil litigation matters, including pharmaceutical patent disputes and Markman proceedings. He also served as a special assistant to The Honorable Donald F. Parsons in the mediation of a Hatch-Waxman case pending appeal to the CAFC.
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Kramer was a pharmacologist specializing in neuropharmacology, anesthesiology and pain management and a member of the faculty of the Department of Anesthesia at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a registered pharmacist.
