Offit Kurman announces the expansion of its Title IX and Student Discipline Practice Group with the arrival of a dynamic litigation team led by principal Kimberly C. Lau, along with attorney James Figliozzi and paralegal Ninoska J. Deoleo.

Kimberly C. Lau, a principal and chair of the Title IX and Education Practice Group, brings storied experience and a proven track record to Offit Kurman. Her practice encompasses Title IX, academic issues, special education, defamation, First Amendment, due process, and civil rights litigation. Having represented over 300 students and faculty nationwide, Kimberly has achieved numerous successes, including a landmark $5.3 million jury verdict in a South Carolina defamation and conspiracy case involving Clemson University students, and a favorable settlement in a high-profile Title IX lawsuit against Columbia University. Kimberly’s impactful work has earned her national recognition on platforms such as CNN, ABC’s Nightline, The Wall Street Journal, and more.
