Offit Kurman Expands Los Angeles Labor and Employment Practice with Addition of David Jones
Offit Kurman is proud to announce the addition of David Jones to the labor and employment practice in the Los Angeles, California office.
With nearly 30 years of experience, labor and employment attorney David Jones is a devoted advocate for California employers, specializing in employment litigation, counseling and claim prevention. Known for his strategic and adaptable approach, David has successfully defended businesses in complex wage and hour disputes, harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims.
His extensive litigation background includes civil and appellate advocacy, with successful arguments before the California Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He also regularly represents employers in government investigations by agencies such as the EEOC, U.S. Department of Labor and California Labor Commissioner.
A former president of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association (SFVBA), David has held leadership roles within the legal community and served as Outside General Counsel for the Los Angeles Firemen’s Relief Association, helping secure a $200 million operations agreement for retired firefighters’ health benefits. He is also deeply involved in community service, holding board positions with MEND (Meet Each Need with Dignity) and Marley’s Mutts Animal Rescue.
