Offit Kurman Continues Growth of New Dallas/Ft. Worth Office with Four New Attorneys

Offit Kurman is excited to announce the opening of its first Dallas/Ft. Worth office, marking the firm’s 20th office effective October 1, 2025. Through an affiliation with the renowned bankruptcy law firm Ross & Smith PC, Maryland-based Offit Kurman adds four more attorneys to its roster further expanding the firm’s national reach.

The Ross & Smith team brings significant experience in bankruptcy, corporate reorganization, business litigation, and related areas, strengthening the firm’s ability to serve clients in Texas as well as the firm’s 19 other offices located throughout the United States.

The new attorneys and paralegal include:

  • Frances Smith, Principal – With extensive experience in bankruptcy and out-of-court restructuring, Frances has represented businesses in a wide variety of matters throughout the United States. She is known for her ability to guide parties toward resolution in challenging disputes.
  • Judith Ross, Affiliated Counsel – Recognized for her substantial skills in corporate reorganization and bankruptcy, Judith has advised clients across a wide range of industries in national and international bankruptcy cases. She is particularly adept at fostering consensus in complex disputes.
  • Jonathan Gitlin, Principal – Licensed in Texas since 2009, Jonathan offers a pragmatic approach to achieving favorable results for clients. His practice spans complex business litigation, bankruptcy, real estate, receivership, civil litigation, and appellate work in both state and federal courts.
  • Honest Kapic, Associate – Representing clients in bankruptcy and corporate restructuring, real estate, construction, and commercial litigation, Honest combines trial experience with a business-minded approach. He delivers practical solutions that keep clients’ broader goals at the center of every case.
  • Michael Coulombe, Paralegal – A bankruptcy paralegal with over 15 years of experience, Michael has extensive experience with matters involving corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, insolvency matters, and mediation.
