Offit Kurman is pleased to announce that George W. Bodenger has joined Offit Kurman as Chair of its Healthcare Practice Group. George, an accomplished attorney with over 30 years of experience in healthcare law, will reside in the firm’s Philadelphia office.

George has worked with a wide range of healthcare providers, including hospitals, health systems, physician practices, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, ambulatory surgery centers,  and clinical laboratories. His work encompasses the purchase and sale of healthcare businesses, administrative law matters, and fraud and abuse (i.e., Anti-Kickback, Stark) counseling and defense. He also represents a wide range of healthcare providers, suppliers, and vendors in HIPAA compliance and administrative law matters. In addition, George represents providers in payment disputes with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers.

“George’s background aligns perfectly with our mission to provide exceptional legal services grounded in business understanding. We are excited to have him on board to help guide the continued growth of our healthcare practice,” said Timothy C. Lynch, President of Offit Kurman. “His depth of experience in healthcare and business law will help us deliver even greater value to our clients.”

In addition to his healthcare focus, George has advised entrepreneurs and closely held businesses on buy/sell transactions, corporate restructurings, and governance matters. Before joining Offit Kurman, he practiced in his own healthcare boutique firm and, prior to that, led healthcare practices at prominent AmLaw 200 firms. Earlier in his career, George worked in the management consulting practice of a Big Four accounting firm, where he gained valuable business and strategic insights.

George is also active in the community, having served on the boards of the Anti-Defamation League and Peter’s Place, and as a past board member and treasurer of Family Support Services.
