Caroline Callahan to Receive Oligo Nation Inspiration Honor Award
Oligo Nation will recognize Caroline Callahan with its Inspiration Honor Award at its annual event on Oct. 15.
The Inspiration Honor Award honors an oligodendroglioma survivor and advocate in the greater Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region who serves as a role model within the Oligo community. Recipients demonstrate resilience in the face of adversity and inspire hope for others navigating similar journeys.
Caroline was selected for her exceptional commitment to the Oligo community, including her active participation in the Washington-area event committee. She has supported extensive outreach efforts and consistently contributed ideas and leadership that have strengthened the organization's local initiatives.
In addition to her advocacy, Caroline’s personal story has inspired many individuals and families affected by oligodendroglioma, particularly young working mothers facing similar challenges.
The annual event supports Oligo Nation's mission to accelerate critical brain tumor research and foster a stronger, more connected community for patients and families. Since its founding, the organization has raised more than $9 million to advance promising research to develop more effective treatment options for oligodendroglioma.
