For over 15 years, Ori Blumenfeld has guided individuals, businesses, and fiduciaries through the challenges of financial distress, restructuring, and disputes. His practice covers all aspects of complex bankruptcy and insolvency matters, corporate reorganizations, distressed asset transactions, and related litigation. Ori works with clients ranging from consumers and institutional creditors to trustees, receivers, and court-appointed fiduciaries, offering practical strategies to protect assets, resolve disputes, and position businesses for long-term stability.
Ori represents debtors, trustees, and both secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy courts. He also serves as general or special counsel to federal and state receivers appointed in matters involving equity disputes, family law, rents and profits, health and safety issues, and regulatory actions. His work often extends to guiding partition referees, successor trustees, and provisional directors in navigating property and business disputes. In addition, he has substantial litigation experience defending and prosecuting civil claims on behalf of receivers and businesses, giving him a strong command of the courtroom when cases require it.
Taking a “concierge” approach with his clients, Ori views his role as extending beyond legal counsel. He connects his networks and clients to a broad range of resources, ensuring they receive effective and efficient guidance even beyond his direct practice areas. This collaborative, solutions-oriented style sets him apart and makes him a trusted partner to clients facing high-stakes and complex financial challenges.
Ori’s commitment to public service and community leadership complements his legal career. From 2014 to 2021, he served as Chair of the Human Relations Commission for the City of Beverly Hills. He is a graduate of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles’ New Leaders Project and previously served on the Los Angeles County Bar Association Board of Trustees from 2011 to 2013. Ori currently volunteers as a temporary judge appointed by the Superior Court of Los Angeles County.
A native Angeleno, Ori is fluent in Hebrew and conversant in Spanish, bringing additional value to a diverse client base. Outside of work, he is an avid soccer player and a certified advanced open water scuba diver.
