Ian litigates business-to-business disputes and government enforcement actions. These matters include disputes involving real estate, consumer protection claims, and claims relating to employee mobility and trade secrets. As a commercial litigator, Ian has extensive trial experience across several jurisdictions throughout the country, with expertise in the District of Columbia and Maryland. In addition to his experience as a trial lawyer, Ian is also known as a seasoned appellate advocate, where he has received published decisions in multiple jurisdictions and has been involved in making significant developments to the law in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Beyond his litigation practice, Ian has a growing practice that focuses on representing companies that are active in the gaming industry, including those that are focused in the e-sports, sports wagering, and iGaming spaces. His gaming practice leverages his litigation and regulatory experience to allow him to serve as a key advisor on a diverse set of issues, including governance, complex regulatory requirements, licensing, and compliance. Ian’s clients include local, domestic, and international startups, operators, suppliers, innovators, and other participants in the gaming field. Ian closely monitors domestic and global trends in gaming law and frequently shares insights in industry publications and conferences on the latest proposed legislation and legal developments.
Ian received his law degree, magna cum laude, from New York Law School and remains active with the school’s alumni association. Outside the courtroom, Ian stays active in the community by engaging in pro bono work and playing a variety of team sports.
