Constantine "Gus" J. Themelis is a trial lawyer with more than 20 years of courtroom and case‑management experience representing companies, executives, and individuals in complex civil and business disputes. Attentive, experienced, and highly proficient, Gus is prepared to take any matter to trial when necessary to advance his clients’ strategic objectives. At the same time, he is skilled at securing negotiated resolutions that maximize value and reduce risk. His extensive trial background informs his strategy from day one, enabling him to anticipate how arguments will resonate before a judge or jury and to position clients for practical, cost‑effective results.

Gus has extensive, broad-based experience in commercial and complex civil litigation in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative and arbitral tribunals. He represents clients in matters involving contracts, fraud, franchises, employment issues, elections, real estate, construction disputes, products liability, defamation, hospitality‑related claims, and admiralty/maritime matters. He also maintains a significant personal injury practice, with deep experience in toxic tort and medical malpractice litigation. Earlier in his career, he handled numerous chemical‑exposure cases—including lead‑paint and carbon‑monoxide matters—and tried multiple catastrophic‑injury product‑liability cases on behalf of a material‑handling equipment manufacturer. Gus also routinely advises property owners on how to respond swiftly and appropriately to violation notices issued by the Maryland Department of the Environment.

Throughout his career, Gus has served as a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 companies and individuals navigating high‑stakes conflict. He draws on his nationwide experience in state and federal courts to evaluate each case with clarity and precision. Clients value his ability to distill complex fact patterns, identify practical options, and guide them toward outcomes aligned with their priorities. Whether a matter calls for early resolution, focused negotiation, or trial, Gus works to deliver solutions that support both immediate legal needs and long‑term business objectives.

Beyond his litigation practice, Gus remains committed to his community. A former Division I soccer player at Loyola University, he now serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Baltimore Union Soccer Club, a youth program serving the Perry Hall and White Marsh areas. He holds a USSF D Coaching License and enjoys coaching youth teams, including those his children play on. A Baltimore native, Gus is also proud to have run the inaugural Baltimore Marathon.
