For over 25 years, Greg Schultz has advised developers, lenders, borrowers, and owners on the acquisition, development, financing, and leasing of commercial real estate across the United States. Drawing on his prior experience as a certified public accountant, Greg brings a sophisticated understanding of financial structures, tax considerations, and deal economics to every matter he handles. His combination of legal and accounting insight enables clients to navigate complex transactions with clarity and confidence.
Greg’s work spans the full spectrum of commercial real estate asset classes, including multifamily, industrial, office, retail, senior living, adaptive‑reuse, self-storage, and affordable housing. His practice includes supporting clients along with other trusted advisors in transactions where tax‑planning strategies, including tax‑deferred exchanges and opportunity‑zone projects, may be involved. In addition to transactional work, Greg represents both landlords and tenants in commercial leasing negotiations, as well as lenders and borrowers in real estate lending matters.
Informed by substantial experience in real estate and construction disputes, Greg also represents clients in litigation involving title issues, commission disputes, mechanic’s liens, construction defects, insurance coverage matters, lien priority disputes, and related controversies. He has represented policyholders and insurers nationwide in coverage and contribution actions involving significant claims and high‑stakes exposures.
Before attending law school, Greg worked as a CPA with a national accounting firm, where he performed audit and tax services for clients in various industries including real estate, and later as a controller for a real estate development company. These experiences continue to shape his practical, business‑forward approach to counseling clients in a dynamic market.
