Forbes Advisor Recognizes Fara K. Rodriguez as One of the Top Ten Best Divorce Lawyers in NYC. Fara was also recently named one of only 18 attorneys in Spear's "The best US family lawyers in 2026." She was featured in the Spear’s article, “Conditional Love: Inside the Rise of Lifestyle Clauses in Modern Prenups,” in which she discussed privacy, social media, reputational protections and the enforceability of lifestyle provisions in prenuptial agreements.

Fara is a principal in the firm’s Family Law Practice Group, practicing exclusively as a matrimonial and family law attorney for over two decades. She is known as a zealous advocate for her clients in all aspects of family and matrimonial law. Fara’s practice focuses on disputes involving divorce, distribution of marital and separate property assets, complex financial and custodial matters, parenting time, child and spousal support, paternity, domestic violence and other areas of family and matrimonial practice, including, without limitation, negotiating and drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.

In addition to representing high-net-worth individuals in contested and uncontested matrimonial actions and child-related matters, Fara frequently deals with New York and New Jersey jurisdictional issues involving child custody and child support disputes under UCCJEA and UIFSA, as she has an active practice and is a highly respected member of the bar in both states. Fara manages all stages of divorce litigation for both financial and custodial issues, from commencement through trial, as well as successfully negotiating, facilitating and drafting settlements. When appropriate, she prepares cases for hearings and trials and conducts the same as lead counsel. Fara also regularly appears in court for status conferences and motion practice and engages in all stages of appellate practice, from writing briefs to arguing before the appellate court.

Fara is adept at representing clients during this distressing time in their lives by compassionately and confidently finding solutions to the complex challenges they often face. Additionally, she has penned materials for the “Basic Matrimonial Law Series” sponsored by the New York State Bar. Fara has also lectured for the New York State Bar and other professional associations on various family law issues.
