Taylor W. DeSantis helps individuals and families navigate some of the most personal and challenging legal matters they may ever face. Her practice is devoted to matrimonial and family law, where she combines thoughtful advocacy with a practical approach to achieve fair and durable outcomes for her clients.
Taylor represents clients throughout New Jersey in all aspects of family law matters, including divorce proceedings, post‑judgment disputes, domestic violence cases, and the negotiation and drafting of prenuptial agreements. She also has experience handling family law appeals, bringing a strong command of written advocacy and appellate procedure to matters that continue beyond the trial court.
Before joining the firm, Taylor practiced in the matrimonial departments of both boutique and mid‑sized New Jersey law firms, where she developed a broad foundation in complex family law litigation and negotiation. Earlier in her career, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Hany A. Mawla, J.A.D., in the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey. That experience provided her with valuable insight into appellate decision‑making and strengthened her ability to evaluate cases from both an advocacy and judicial perspective.
Taylor is actively involved in the legal community and regularly contributes to the development of family law practice in New Jersey. She has served in leadership roles with the Hunterdon County Bar Association, including as president from 2024 to 2025. Currently, she remains engaged as Immediate Past President and co-chair of the Family practice Committee in Hunterdon, as well as a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Executive Committee. She also volunteers her time as a Matrimonial Early Settlement Panelist in Hunterdon, Mercer, and Burlington counties.
A frequent speaker on family law topics Taylor has presented at bar association programs and continuing legal education seminars on domestic violence law, cultural competency in legal practice, and developments in New Jersey family law.
