Offit Kurman is pleased to announce Edward “Eddie” Baxter has joined the firm’s intellectual property practice group in the New York City office. With experience in trademark law, Eddie provides businesses with strategic counsel to protect and enhance their brands in an increasingly global market.
Eddie focuses on trademark registration, enforcement, and portfolio management. He assists clients in navigating the complexities of U.S. and international trademark law to ensure their trademarks are secure and well-represented across various jurisdictions. His background includes successfully prosecuting trademark applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and representing clients in disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
Working closely with clients, Eddie develops customized strategies to protect trademarks globally. He partners with local counsel in international jurisdictions to manage global trademark portfolios, helping businesses expand while minimizing legal risks. Beyond trademarks, Eddie has experience negotiating trademark license agreements and advising clients on corporate structuring, mergers, and real estate transactions, offering a comprehensive approach to intellectual property within broader business strategies.
