Offit Kurman Expands National Platform with South Florida Office Opening

Columbia, MD, January 5, 2026 - Am Law 200 law firm Offit Kurman is pleased to announce the opening of its South Florida office in Fort Lauderdale, marking the firm’s entry into the Florida legal market and creating a platform for growth across the state. This marks the firm’s first office in Florida and its 20th location nationwide. The expansion reflects Offit Kurman’s strategic commitment to serving privately held businesses and families with private wealth on a national scale. The new office will connect South Florida clients to Offit Kurman’s extensive national platform, offering access to the firm’s depth, breadth, and expansive capabilities across the United States. 

The firm’s South Florida office launches with the addition of Christopher Cathey and Austin Krtausch. Christopher is a seasoned commercial litigator with more than 20 years of experience representing clients in complex business disputes. Christopher’s practice spans financial services, real estate, corporate, and creditors’ rights litigation. 

Austin Krtausch also joins the commercial litigation practice group. He represents clients in complex commercial disputes, including finance, insurance, consumer fraud, and technology matters.
