On January 14, 2022, XpresSpa Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: XSPA), a travel and wellness company, acquired ownership of GCG Connect, LLC d/b/a HyperPointe, a healthcare and data analytics marketing company serving the global healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Offit Kurman attorneys Stuart B. Newman and Florian Von Eyb represented the sellers in the transaction. Since the beginning of the Covid pandemic, HyperPointe has assisted XpresSpa Group in developing and delivering Covid-19 screening and testing services in airports throughout the U.S. XpresCheck, an XpressSpa Group subsidiary, recently contracted with the CDC to provide on-site Covid-19 screening and testing and currently has 14 locations in 12 domestic airports.
The HyperPointe team will join the Company as part of this transaction. HyperPointe will operate as a stand-alone entity and join the Company’s family of brands along with XpresCheck®, XpresSpa®, and Treat™.
