Karmel represents a diverse client base, ranging from Fortune 100 companies to individual property owners, across a broad range of environmental matters. His work includes brownfields redevelopment, regulatory compliance, environmental litigation, waste management, renewable energy, and climate-related business strategy.
In addition to his client work, Karmel is actively engaged in advancing environmental and sustainability initiatives within the legal profession. He is the founder of “the planetary lawyer project,” a platform dedicated to promoting environmentally responsible legal practices. He also contributes regularly to industry publications, participates in panel discussions, and supports pro bono efforts focused on environmental issues.
