Offit Kurman Family Law Principal Elizabeth James to speak at NCBA Family Law Section Spring Program on April 29, 2022. The presentation titled “Long Time, No See: Lessons From the Pandemic” will review the ways the pandemic has impacted the practice of family law and gain effective strategies, tips and techniques to assist you in your practice. Experienced family law practitioners, NC District Court judges and mental health professionals share valuable insight on pursuing civil and criminal contempt in child custody and support cases, working with high-conflict families through virtual therapy, utilizing technology (and troubleshooting the technical difficulties that may arise), and understanding forensic evaluation reports in child custody.
