Offit Kurman Announces Five New Practice Group Leaders

The Office of Managing Principal is pleased to announce the appointment of five new practice group leaders, effective October 1, 2025.

Ryan Boland — Commercial Litigation (North) (succeeding Larry Holmes)

Ryan focuses his practice on complex commercial, corporate, and real estate litigation, as well as zoning law in Pennsylvania. With nearly two decades of experience, he handles high-stakes disputes, preliminary injunctions, and TROs in state and federal courts. Ryan also serves as outside general counsel to growing businesses and represents real estate developers on both litigation and corporate matters.

Sandy Brooks — Family Law (South) (succeeding Marshall Yaap)

Sandy focuses her practice on all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody, support, and property division. A member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers, Sandy is recognized as one of the top family law attorneys both nationally and internationally. She also lectures frequently on family law issues and represents clients throughout Maryland.

Danielle Friedman — Estates & Trusts (East) (succeeding Candace Dellacona & Meghan McCulloch)

Danielle provides comprehensive estate and tax planning services for individuals, families, and business owners, with a focus on wealth preservation, asset protection, and charitable giving. She also advises fiduciaries in estate and trust administration, including probate, tax filings, and beneficiary distributions.

Brad Jacobs — Real Estate and Land Use and Zoning (succeeding Jim Landon)

Brad focuses his practice on real estate law and transactions. He manages hundreds of residential and commercial deals each year, including purchases, sales, financing, 1031 exchanges, and commercial leasing. Brad also advises on estate sales and tax planning strategies tied to real estate acquisitions and dispositions.

Dan Max — Mergers and Acquisitions

Dan Max is a trusted business attorney with over 25 years of experience advising CEOs, executives, founders, and in-house general counsel on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and essential business transactions. Known for his practical mindset and clear communication, Dan supports executives in making confident business decisions while managing legal and operational risks.
