Kevin P. Woodbridge is a principal in the Estates & Trusts Practice Group. Kevin focuses his practice on estate planning and estate administration.

Kevin works closely with individuals, couples and families to tailor each estate plan to meet the specific needs of each client. Kevin has experience creating hundreds of estate plans, ranging from will-based plans to complex tax and legacy planning trusts.

Kevin also works closely with Personal Representatives and family members to administer estates in Maryland and the District of Columbia. Kevin guides clients through the estate administration process

Representative Matters

  • Successfully administered an estate in Montgomery County for an intestate decedent with no close relatives, which required locating all legal heirs, communicating with all heirs to explain the process and working with all heirs to obtain consents for the appointment of a Personal Representative. The administration of the estate required keeping all heirs informed throughout each stage of the administration process, managing estate debts and assets, working on the sale of the estate’s real property, filing tax returns, distributing assets and making all necessary filings with the Register of Wills for Montgomery County
  • Assisted in successfully resolving a dispute involving the distribution of tangible personal property from a multi-million-dollar estate in favor of the estate. The disputed involved an alleged oral agreement and prenuptial agreement that contradicted the terms of the decedent’s will
  • Assisted in successfully representing a multi-million-dollar estate in negotiations with the Internal Revenue Service, preventing an increase in estate tax
