Bhupinder Kaur Malik

For more than 17 years, Bhupinder Kaur Malik has represented property owners, businesses, contractors, developers, and design professionals in complex disputes where financial, operational, and reputational interests are at stake. A seasoned trial attorney, she approaches every matter with a clear focus on achieving practical, cost-effective results while remaining prepared to advocate aggressively when litigation becomes necessary.

Bhupinder handles a broad range of commercial litigation matters involving construction disputes, contract claims, business controversies, property-related litigation, and residential and commercial real estate disputes.  As the holder of an active California real estate broker’s license, she brings an elevated level of insight and strategic advantage to every property matter she handles. Throughout her career, she has managed all phases of litigation. Her extensive courtroom experience includes serving as first chair in more than 100 trials, giving clients the benefit of strategic guidance informed by substantial trial experience.

She works closely with clients to identify efficient paths to resolution and frequently pursues early settlement opportunities when they align with a client's objectives. Before entering private practice, Bhupinder served as a Deputy Public Defender, where she represented clients in criminal matters ranging from misdemeanor cases to complex litigation involving mentally disordered offender proceedings. That experience helped shape her courtroom presence, advocacy skills, and ability to evaluate challenging legal issues under pressure.

In addition to her litigation practice, Bhupinder remains committed to public service and civil rights advocacy. She actively volunteers with national civil rights organizations and continues to support efforts that promote access to justice and equal treatment under the law.
