A new administration is about to take over and it will have an opportunity to enact significant changes to U.S. immigration policy.  Join Immigration Attorney, Mo Syed, for a discussion of the possible immigration landscape post January 2021.  You will learn about the forecast for practice and policy in immigration/visa categories such as business, employment, investment, family and other matters.  Will immigration policy reflect the true American values of being a welcoming society or will it remain based on fear of the other?

Topics will include:

  1. Will there be better management of COVID-19 related challenges – embassy closures and processing within the United States?
  2. Revocation of proclamations including Muslim Ban and Ban on Asylum.
  3. Revocation of the bans on H-1B, L, J1 visas and immigrant visa petitions.
  4. Any more midnight rulemaking by outgoing administration – prevailing wage hike in H1B and PERM green card cases.
  5. Litigation including DACA, TPS and Public Charge Rule.
  6. The Biden administration has promised a Legalization Bill in first 100 days – how will control of Senate impact this.
  7. Will there be a shift away from detention and deportation and increased staff allocation to processing benefits?
