Housing Law: Helping Those in Need

During these challenging times and as winter approaches, many of our low-income neighbors and their families are going to face the very real possibility of being evicted from their homes, resulting in homelessness in large numbers throughout our community.
Through this program and by donating your time, you will be trained in the “nuts and bolts” of landlord and tenant law in order to help tenants assert their rights, protect their homes, and learn of the available remedies in trying to keep these families housed. The training will cover the basic law and issues commonly involved, as well as strategy, and will be taught by experienced practitioners, as well as a sitting Judge.
