Offit Kurman Supports 5th Annual Towson University Incubator Business Plan Competition with Finalist Video Interviews

For Immediate Release TU-IncubatorTowson, MD | May 4, 2015 As TU Incubator’s fifth annual Business Plan Competition draws to a close, Offit Kurman presents a series of video interviews with several competition finalists. Interviewees include three finalists in the “professionals” category as well as one student finalist. The videos kick off the Competition Finale, a live event that will take place this Wednesday, from 4–6pm, at the TU campus. Since 2011, TU Incubator—Towson University’s business incubation program—has hosted a yearly competition to highlight the best and brightest emerging businesses in the region. Open to all companies in the Baltimore-Washington area, the Business Plan Competition aims to encourage entrepreneurship, small business growth, and innovation. Competition entrants begin by submitting executive summaries; finalists are then selected to present business plans to a panel of judges. The Competition culminates in a live finale at the Incubator’s campus headquarters, where finalists will pitch their ideas to the public. The winner receives a 90-day incubator membership valued at $5,000, providing office space, and mentoring and advisory services, along with a cash prize. A full list of finalists can be found at the Competition homepage. Judges have named five professional finalists as well as, for the first time, five finalists in the “student-only” category, which was open to students from local colleges and universities. Offit Kurman has conducted and produced interviews with four finalists: SeeFuture, Just Play Sports, Elated Harmonies Massage, and student-founded business Hop Theory.
