For Immediate Release
Columbia, MD | February 12, 2021
Offit Kurman attorneys, Michael N. Mercurio, Julia Taylor, and Andres Vera recently closed a buy-side transaction on behalf of Intelligenesis LLC, a veteran and woman-owned small business in Columbia, Maryland, of CybatiWorks, an Illinois-based company. The acquisition at expanded IntelliGenesis' cybersecurity capabilities and defense for critical infrastructure.
IntelliGenesis has much expertise in national security, and CybatiWorks offered intelligence in the cyber-physical threat sector. Ultimately, the combination of the two firms will enable not only expansion, but an opportunity for further national security missions across the U.S. Government agencies such as the Department of Defense, the Department of Energy, and commercial markets. It will also raise national awareness and provide cybersecurity countermeasures while strengthening and expanding the various existing partnerships already in place.
“The acquisition of CybatiWorks by IntelliGenesis added further depth to their national security practice of IntelliGenesis; the fit was excellent! Both parties put in much effort to join forces.”, said Michael N. Mercurio, Esq.
