Albena Petrakov

Thomas Repczynski

Umar A. Sheikh, Chair, Real Estate Law and Transactions Group

Umar A. Sheikh concentrates his practice on all aspects of real estate law – purchases, sales, financing, development, leasing, evictions, foreclosures, management – and those areas of law that are related to real estate – corporate, tax, asset protection, estate planning and litigation. He regularly represents parties in the purchase, sale and financing of multifamily, mixed-use, commercial and retail properties.

Albena Petrakov, Chair, Creditors Rights, Reorganization and Bankruptcy Group

Albena Petrakov advises clients on restructuring, bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and real estate-related litigation and counsels creditors on maximizing their return on secured and unsecured claims. She also has extensive experience representing clients in bankruptcy and commercial matters in both civil and common law jurisdictions.

Tom Repczynski, Chair, Commercial Litigation South Group

Tom Repczynski focuses his practice on inheritance-related matters involving wills, trusts, insurance beneficiaries, executors, trustees, guardians and attorneys-in-fact under Powers of Attorney. He also handles matters related to creditors’ rights enforcement, real estate litigation and general commercial business disputes.

The firm would like to also recognize the outgoing practice group chairs for their commitment and dedication to their groups – Edward Bloom (Real Estate Law and Transactions), Stephen Metz (Creditors Rights, Reorganization and Bankruptcy) and Ian Bartman (Commercial Litigation South).
