Offit Kurman Launches Two Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives

Offit Kurman is proud to demonstrate our support for diversity and inclusion with the announcement of two firm-wide initiatives: the Diversity Committee and Women In Law and Leadership (WILL). Led internally by two teams of attorneys, these programs represent the interests of Offit Kurman’s diverse group of attorneys and staff, who embody various racial, ethnic, religious, sexual, and gender identities. Established in 2015, both the Diversity Committee and Women In Law and Leadership network encourage diversity in our workplace, promote inclusion, and provide growth opportunities for all employees.


It Offit Kurman’s goal to demographically reflect the communities in which we practice and the clients whom we serve. Offit Kurman instituted the Diversity Committee to identify and recruit successful attorneys of all races, religions, and sexual and gender identities. The Committee also provides opportunities and support for these attorneys once they are a part of our team. The Committee meets on a recurring basis to discuss action items and diversity activities in which the firm can participate. The founding members of the Committee are Howard Kurman, David Coaxum, Rajiv Goel, and Jeanna Lam. Through Women in Law and Leadership, the women attorneys at Offit Kurman meet regularly to foster a like-minded network built on collaborative support. At these meetings, our attorneys communicate their successes and learn from each other’s experiences in the legal profession. Together, they attend workshops and seminars and coordinate guest lecturers throughout Offit Kurman’s office locations. WILL members share a passion for the law, community leadership, and collective impact.
