Offit Kurman Appoints Two to Practice Group Leader

For Immediate Release

Bethesda, MD | October 21, 2020

Offit Kurman is pleased to announce the appointment of two new practice group leaders: Meghan Finnerty of the Insurance Recovery practice group and Crystal Kramer of the Landlord Representation practice group. Ms. Finnerty and Ms. Kramer will begin their new roles effective October 16th, 2020. Practice Group Leaders are tasked with providing legal leadership, management, marketing, and client satisfaction strategies within their respective practice groups.

Meghan Finnerty is a commercial litigator and experienced appellate lawyer. Ms. Finnerty focuses her practice on representing policyholders in disputes with their insurance companies, and she regularly advises business clients across a broad range of industries on risk and insurance issues that impact each phase of the life cycle of the business. Ms. Finnerty is the chair of OK Women LEAD’s steering committee and she also serves on Offit Kurman’s Origination Committee. Ms. Finnerty will take over the Insurance Recovery group from Jay Levin, who expanded the firm's insurance recovery footprint and led the group to a promotion to a Band Three Chambers ranking this year.

Crystal Kramer is a Principal Attorney in the Landlord Representation practice group. Her practice is focused on representing landlords and property managers of residential and commercial real estate in Virginia. This representation includes Fair Housing disputes and all litigation associated with lease disputes, including breach of lease, unlawful detainer actions, and tenant's assertion actions. She also spends a substantial amount of time on pro bono representation through the Housing Panel of the Northern Virginia Pro Bono Law Center as well as for various animal rights nonprofit organizations. She is part of Offit Kurman's OK R.I.S.E. (as the Leadership & Advancement Committee Chair), the OK Women LEAD Marketing Task force, the Fairfax Bar Association, and the Alexandria Democratic Committee.

Offit Kurman's Practice Group Leaders have achieved numerous distinctions and accolades—such as Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent ratings and recognition in Super Lawyers—as go-to litigators, mediators, and advisors in their fields. Please join Offit Kurman in congratulating Ms. Finnerty and Ms. Kramer.
