featuring: Jonathan R. Wachs, Principal, Intellectual Property Attorney at the law offices of Offit Kurman Jonathan heads the firm’s Intellectual Property Group and provides strategic counseling and operational advice to clients in the areas of intellectual property, commercial transactions and outsourced legal departments. As a business lawyer, he has successfully negotiated and completed several multimillion dollar business transactions and has served as general counsel to several small and midsize businesses and organizations in various industries and professions. Jon also heads the company’s New Paradigm Counsel, an outsourced in-house legal department. And Paul Riecks, Entrepreneur, Business owner, Consultant, Peer Advisory Facilitator/Coach Paul brings more than 40 years of business management experience to INSIGHT. In addition to his years with The Inner Circle, Paul was a Senior Vice President of Equitable Bank, responsible for development and marketing of financial products and three start-up bank subsidiaries. Paul’s Media credits include being a panelist on “Money Matters” – a televised financial information show. Riecks writes a monthly column in Baltimore and Washington SmartCEO magazines and has been published by The Baltimore Business Journal and penned his book: Running Your Own Company: An Entrepreneur’s Field Manual. Program Highlights CEOs of mid-sized companies have challenges, opportunities and solutions that are different than larger companies. Often, they need to seek outside advisory services and often find it a very lonely place to be when looking for advice, especially when they don’t have the internal resources or the independent, outside relationships that are needed to bounce ideas off of and gain insights into how to tackle issues that are outside of their current sphere of connections. A Peer or Professional Services Advisory Board can provide informed guidance and serve as a tremendous ally in the quest for superior enterprise management and execution on a business plan. An expert panel will discuss:
- What is a Peer Advisory Board and how is it different than a Professional Services Advisory Board?
- How to select who you need to get your business where you want it to be while enabling you to develop exceptional leadership skills
- Advisory Board compensation
- Assimilating a board into organizational decision making
- Strategies to evaluate and evolve the board as your organization grows
