Saturday Side Hustle: Short Supply on Memorial Day?
When goods are in short supply, someone usually sees that as a business opportunity. In 1924, when there was a shortage of poppies used to celebrate Memorial Day, which came mainly from France, someone saw an opportunity to do something charitable. The first artificial poppy factory was opened in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and it employed out-of-work veterans to make artificial poppies to substitute for the real thing. As we thank all of those who have served this Memorial Day, I also want to thank all of you who read SSH and welcome any suggestions you have to make it better. Have a great holiday weekend!
Back to Basics
Many businesses are developed by entrepreneurs out of their garages, during off-hours and on weekends. Our Saturday Side Hustle journey started off with venturing into the food industry, moved into trademarks, and even music! I think the more interesting ideas typically start this way which is why I decided to start this series to highlight the legal issues associated with some of the most popular side hustle ideas I’ve heard, but now I want to hear from you!
What kind of topics would you most like to read about in the Saturday Side Hustle?
