Local leader and business owner, Karen Pitsley, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of her company, Transforming Architecture.
An enthusiastic group of satisfied customers, friends, and business acquaintances gathered at the home and office of Transforming Architecture yesterday to celebrate. The venue could not have been more appropriate, as a total renovation of the home and office were completed approximately two years ago. It’s one thing to talk about architectural talents, but it’s another to actually see the changes that can be accomplished by such a skilled architect. Not only does Transforming Architecture do residential work, Karen is also a certified Age-in-Place Specialist.
Karen has broken the mold by franchising her business in multiple states throughout the country. She uses her talents to mentor younger professionals and enhance their skills. She is a co-founder of Shari’s Promise, a non- profit dedicated to the prevention of childhood sexual abuse. Karen has been recognized on multiple occasions as one of Maryland’s Top 100 women, and is the past president of the Business Women’s Network of Howard County.
