Two Merriweather, part of the beautiful Howard Hughes complex at the corner of Broken Land and Little Patuxent Parkway, was the scene of the Young Professionals Networking event last night. The building and the lighting are gorgeous on the outside, but the venue for the event, was an unfinished floor. It was marvelous.
It took me back in time to when the Merrill Lynch building was occupied by my friends Vince Guida and Jim Eagan. They were law partners, and they threw a Christmas party in the early 80’s on the top, unfinished floor. In those days, it was unheard of. Vince and Jim, though both sadly gone now, were ahead of their time.
The gathering was of the younger members of the Chamber, and I am happy to say I did not get carded to see if I was too old!
Good conversation, good food and drink, were the order of the evening.
It does one good to see successful young professionals out and about and learning to make their way.
The Chamber offers unique opportunities for members of all ages and interests. I am proud to be a member of the board of the Chamber, and am happy to answer any questions or make an introduction. Keep up with all the events at www.howardchamber.org.
