Sunday night, Gilchrist Hospice hosted its annual “Taste” event, to raise funds for its Howard County location. The theme was Western, and Turf Valley was transformed into a country western venue. 25 restaurants from around the county donated to the cause, and competed for prizes for the best theme.
Pete Mangione was our most gracious event chair, who led the group of dedicated volunteers. One lucky person won $5000 in our raffle, and the second won $2500.
Our auctioneer helped raise funds by auctioning trips, jewelry, and the mother of all grills! Silent auctions of sports memorabilia, wine, jewelry, and other items added to the excitement.
Gilchrist Hospice cares not only for the patient, but for the families of the patients. In the most challenging times of our lives, Gilchrist helps.
If you missed this year’s event, look for us next year. We will be back with a fun-filled theme to raise money for the best of causes. October is the month, Sunday is usually the day!
