Offit Kurman IP Chair Jonathan R. Wachs Among Featured Panelists at TEDCO’s Entrepreneur Expo

Wachs, intellectual property attorney and chair of Offit Kurman’s Intellectual Property Group, was a featured panelist at TEDCO’s fifth annual Entrepreneur Expo, held earlier this week. Mr. Wachs co-presented with Maryland business luminaries John Cammack, Amita Shukla, Luke Cooper, and Saad Alam at a one-hour panel entitled “Negotiating Your Deal.” The five panelists discussed negotiating strategies to secure investments in one’s company as well as key considerations for handling different rounds of investment, with a focus on seed and Series A rounds. Conducted at the BWI Marriott, TEDCO’s Entrepreneur Expo brought together entrepreneurs, founders, CEOs, and business VIPs for a one-day networking, mentorship, and idea-sharing event. Over 600 people attended this year’s expo, which featured 100 speakers, 60 exhibitors, and numerous companies active in the Baltimore–Washington metropolitan area. The 2015 keynote speakers were Rent the Runway co-founder Jennifer Fleiss and NASA astronaut Terry Virts.
