President Obama signed a bill (H.R.1624) on October 7, 2015 making an important change to Obamacare that will prevent health insurance premiums for three million people from going up next year. The new law in summary gives the states the ability to decide how to classify businesses 51 to 100 employees. The law permits the states to elect to extend the definition of “small employer” to include employers who employed up to 100 employees during the preceding calendar year.
