Biz Tek Today: Passion Meter

biztek Becoming the owner of a business is a lifelong dream for many people. There are so many choices of business and many resources out there to assist in the process (see the article below on buying a business which provides a good 25 point checklist). However, what sometimes can get lost in the process is getting involved in something you have true passion. I think a common “mistake” is to only evaluate business based on profit and loss and other financial metrics (which of course are important). In my opinion, however, the #1 metric is the passion meter. If you are passionate about the business (and the metrics make sense), you will have that much more fun and, of course, success.
