Is it better to be lucky than good? See the article below on the topic of CEOs being talented or just lucky. It is an interesting argument among the parties vying for billions of dollars in that highly publicized divorce. I don’t see the extremes noted in the article as necessarily right on either side (90% talent versus 90% luck). Clearly to run any successful business a person must have a mix of luck and talent – and I think the unwary trap is believing that one’s success is attributable to only one element. Nothing in life is that simple.
