Business Law & Transactions Attorney sits on Mergers & Acquisitions Panel

Mike Mercurio, Offit Kurman attorney and Chair of the firm’s Business Law and Transactions Practice Group, recently took part in “Dissecting the Deal,” a panel discussion on a Mergers & Acquisitions transaction in government contracting. The panel focused on the acquisition of the small government contractor Alapko, Inc. by Subsystem Technologies, Inc. (SUBSYSTEMs).  Mr Mercurio represented the seller, Alapko, Inc. in this transaction. Other panelists included Richard Bodson and Shane Shailkill, President and CFO of SUBSYSTEMS respectively ; Matt Zerphy and John Kovach, CEO and President of Alapko Inc. respectively and Michael C. Genna, business strategist to the seller. Martin O’Neill, Corsum Consulting, served as moderator. The interactive discussion  offered   insiders’ perspectives on  how this deal happened, what made this an ideal fit for buyer and seller and factors that affected the deal and especially those that clinched it.
