Friday Factoid – 11.15.13

In 2004, the National Football League and the NFL Players Association granted to Electronic Arts (EA) an exclusive license through 2012 to use in a video game the names and images of the NFL’s teams, stadia and players. This deal, which is reportedly worth $300 million, was extended through 2013. Since its first release in 1988, Madden NFL video games (which are made by EA) have generated more than $3 billion in total revenue. Source:
