Earlier this year, Offit Kurman Business Law Attorney William (Bill) Erskine was elected as Chairman on the Howard County Economic Development Authority (HCEDA) Board of Directors. Bill had previously served as Treasurer/Secretary, a position now held by Elaine Brown. The HCEDA Board of Directors is a public-private partnership formed to “promote economic growth and stability in Howard County” by supporting existing businesses, targeting new businesses and attracting corporate and regional headquarters.
Quality economic development is critical to Howard County’s future development.
“This is an exciting new chapter for the EDA,” said HCEDA CEO Larry Twele. “I know that the breadth of Bill and Elaine’s knowledge and experience will continue to strengthen our board and the impact that we have in the business community.”
All officers serve a two year term starting July 1, 2013 and ending June 31, 2015.
