Will Medlin is certified as a family law specialist by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization and is also a certified as a Family Financial Mediator by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission.

Will’s family law practice includes, but is not limited to, experienced representation in claims for equitable distribution, child custody, child support, alimony, post-separation support, absolute divorce, and step-parent and family member adoptions.

Will also practices in related areas of law, including asset ownership disputes between unmarried partners, such as real estate and pet ownership disputes. He routinely represents clients in Mecklenburg, Gaston, Union, and the surrounding counties.

Will is devoted to making the divorce process less adversarial, less expensive, less painful, and more peaceful through the use of the collaborative divorce process and other methods of alternative dispute resolution.  Will is a member of Charlotte Collaborative Divorce Professionals; a professional group devoted to the promotion and use of the collaborative divorce process.

Will also co-created and co-hosts a popular family law podcast, called Domestic Connection.  Domestic Connection is available on iTunes, Google Play Music, Spotify, or at Libsyn.
