Matthew J. Simon concentrates on complex real estate and corporate transactions and his practice involves advising family offices (domestic and foreign), real estate companies, developers, financial institutions, start-up companies and high net worth individuals. Mr. Simon's focus includes real estate and corporate credit facilities, development projects, acquisitions and dispositions of real property, leases, corporate structuring, mergers and acquisitions, private placements and joint ventures.
Mr. Simon’s niche is structuring the often complex and challenging legal aspects of lucrative strategic opportunities. He has advised and negotiated various credit facilities on behalf of corporate and real estate clients ranging from $10MM to $100MM.
Previously, Mr. Simon was the co-founding and co-managing partner of Simon, Eisenberg & Baum, LLP (“SEB”). SEB was a full-service law firm that focused on sophisticated real estate, corporate, trust and estates, litigation and entertainment matters that had offices in New York City, Florida, California and Switzerland. Prior to forming SEB, Mr. Simon was associated with Epstein, Becker & Green, P.C. and Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf, LLP in their corporate/securities and real estate departments.
