Diane K. Roskies is an estates and trusts attorney in Offit Kurman’s New York Office. Ms. Roskies has served as a lawyer in this capacity for a variety of organizations: law firms, a national bank, a large investment house, a family office and an accounting firm.
Before attending law school, Ms. Roskies completed a doctorate at Harvard University in educational psychology, which has proven to be complementary to her legal practice. Ms. Roskies often counsels clients who are managing for their future, or who are dealing with the loss of a relative.
Ms. Roskies’ extensive experience in estates and trusts planning is a valuable resource and she works closely with her clients to assist them navigate changes to estate tax laws.
Represented a trustee who was criticized by two beneficiaries of the trust for the decline the trust’s value. Following hundreds of pages of court pleadings and four court appearances, the New York Judge dismissed all of the objections of the trust beneficiaries and ruled in favor of the trustee. The decision was published in the New York Law Journal on July 29, 2019.
