As a Family Law attorney, Christopher Wachter's practice is focused on guiding clients in matters involving divorce, separation, spousal and child support, child custody and visitation, and property distribution issues, whether through litigation, mediation, negotiation, or collaborative processes.  He also assists clients in adoption matters. As part of his practice, Mr. Wachter frequently prepares and reviews all types of domestic agreements, including separation agreements and prenuptial agreements.

While attending law school, Mr. Wachter served as a law clerk to the administrative judges on the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and also clerked at a prominent civil litigation law firm in Baltimore, Maryland. Prior to joining Offit Kurman, Mr. Wachter practiced law at a respected  Montgomery County firm where he represented clients in Maryland and the District of Columbia in civil litigation matters of all types, including family law matters, labor and employment claims and complex business litigation.
