Andrea Godwin is a principal attorney in Offit Kurman’s Family Law practice group. Ms. Godwin specializes in cases related to separation and property settlement agreements, pre-nuptial agreements, mediations and arbitrations, adoptions, termination of parental rights, domestic violence, contempt motions, custody, child and spousal support, equitable distribution, alienation of affection and criminal conversation claims and defenses. She has extensive litigation experience but is committed to finding creative and practical solutions to each specific client’s family situation when one can be negotiated. Ms. Godwin’s clients describe her as someone who listens and genuinely cares about them but who is also able to assist in objectively analyzing their case and establishing realistic goals.
Ms. Godwin is a North Carolina native who has practiced in the district and superior courts of Union, Gaston, Mecklenburg and Lincoln County, where she recently earned the largest jury award for a plaintiff in an alienation of affections case.
