The firm's Labor and Employment Practice Area focuses on every facet of labor and employment law and related litigation. We assist in the implementation of employment policies and procedures, provide counsel concerning unionization issues, Americans with Disabilities Act and OSHA concerns, and offer expertise on other proactive steps employers should use to minimize legal exposure in today's litigious workplace. We also prepare and negotiate employment contracts, non-competition agreements, and executive compensation plans. When disputes arise and negotiation becomes impossible, our practice is fully equipped to represent clients in federal and state courts, before administrative agencies, and in alternative dispute resolution (ADR, such as mediation or arbitration). Our attorneys represent clients in collection cases, breach of contract and other business cases, mechanic's liens, and construction claims, as well as accident cases, domestic issues, and other personal disputes. The firm's approach is to serve as a zealous and energetic advocate for our clients, even while counseling a client as to the most cost-effective way of proceeding: because we recognize that our clients' resources are not unlimited.
